Dr. Baiju Abdulla, MD — Center Pointe Family Medicine in Colorado Springs, CO
Dr. Baiju Abdulla, MD, moved here from India where he received his medical degree. He completed his residency in family practice at Loma Linda University in California where he was also a professor. He appreciates being able to provide continuous care to his patients, and he has a special interest in lipid management, metabolic syndrome, and diabetes, as well as allergies, asthma and sleep apnea.

Dr. Abdulla believes that it is important to meet the needs of each and every patient, and to provide a one-on-one relationship that encompasses his philosophy of treating patients like family. “Achieving better health care one patient at a time.”

Dr. Abdulla enjoys providing care for all ages, pediatric through retirement. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his wife and children. Together they enjoy RV'ing, travel, and movies. Dr. Abdulla also enjoys motorcycling.
Shellie Harms — Center Pointe Family Medicine in Colorado Springs, CO
Shellie Harms is a PA-C with twenty years of experience as a Physician Assistant. She received her board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She received her bachelor's degree from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, and received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from the University of Nebraska. She likes being able to provide both acute and preventative care, with special interests in women's health.

Shellie's goal is to “establish a rapport with patients of all ages and engage in a partnership of education, discussion, and empowerment toward healthy lifestyle measures through the ages.”

Shellie enjoys spending free time with her family. They are avid outdoor enthusiasts enjoying travel, running, hiking, skiing, biking, and the many other wonderful outdoor opportunities that our great state offers.
Laura Brown — Center Pointe Family Medicine in Colorado Springs, CO
Laura Brown is a Colorado native and attended the University of Northern Colorado, where she received her bachelor's degree. Laura received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies through Philadelphia University. After graduate school in Philadelphia, she joined the practice. She's passionate about advocating for her patients, and has special interests in preventative care for all ages, as well as women's health.

Laura is “professionally driven in identifying the needs of the diverse Colorado Springs community. I implore an impeccable work ethic, ongoing intellectual curiosity, and aspire to provide my patients optimal care. I strive to strike a balance between seeing a volume of patients and ensuring skilled and compassionate care when managing acute/chronic healthcare needs. I am committed to proficiency, lead with integrity, and enjoy building a relationship with all my patients.”

Laura enjoys spending time with her family when she is away from the office. They recently celebrated the birth of their son. He is their second child in addition to their wonderful daughter. Laura enjoys spending time with her daughter doing arts and crafts together that allow them to create projects and explore their creativity.
Lois Wenger — Center Pointe Family Medicine in Colorado Springs, CO
Lois Wenger, is a native to the Colorado Springs area and received her Master's Degree in Nursing at Beth-el School of Nursing at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. She's board certified in nursing, multiple sclerosis and electromedicine, and she established the first free-standing pain center in the US. She has special interests in acute pain and chronic management, as well as preventive medicine in all stages of life.

Lois “believes each person deserves the respect and time to voice their concerns. Their complaints need to be recognized and validated. My goal is to reach a diagnosis with the help of each patient, teaching them about their health problems and together find a treatment that will promote a healthier person and improve activities of daily living.”

Lois is an exercise enthusiast, enjoying swimming and golf during her time away from the office. She also enjoys visiting local nursing homes with therapy dogs.
Paul Jachimek — Center Pointe Family Medicine in Colorado Springs, CO
Paul Jachimek, recently retired after 20 years of service from the US Army. He received both his Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies through the Interservice Physician Assistant Program with the US Army. Paul is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant. He has strong orthopedic background, and has special interests in sports medicine, spinal manipulation, dermatology, trauma, minor surgical procedures that can be done in our office, Nexplanon implants, and general healthcare.

Paul believes “in working to a standard of care that fosters a relationship between myself and my patients. I want my patients to feel comfortable with me and leave every appointment knowing exactly what we discussed and what is expected of both of us to maintain a trusting patient/provider relationship. I am known for my blunt honesty, but my patients leave with the feeling that they were heard and I have their best interest at heart. With this philosophy, I have built great relationships with my patients based on respect, honest, and compassion.

During his free time Paul enjoys spending time with his children. He is a loyal Green Bay Packers fan, he also enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, working out, dining out, travel, and all water activities.
Aidan Kolbe — Center Pointe Family Medicine in Colorado Springs, CO
Aidan Kolbe, Nurse Practitioner. has been in advanced practice and board certified in family practice by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Prior to becoming an advanced practice nurse she was active duty in the United States Air Force where she worked primarily in maternal child health. She also spent the “best five months she’d never like to repeat” working in a tent hospital in Iraq. She completed her undergraduate education at Hartwick College and her nurse practitioner education at the University of Massachusetts. Her areas of interest include all areas of family practice with a particular devotion to education and disease prevention. She approaches health from a wellness perspective and believes in motivating small changes by meeting patients where they are. Patient collaboration and education are paramount in her approach to care. When she isn’t at work you will find attempting to live what she lectures - eating well and living well. In her free time you might find her running, in a yoga or pilates class, volunteering at her church or spending time with family.
